The Village Presentation
Origin of the Goss-HawksOriginally carved by shepherds during the long winter evenings, goss hawks were a good luck charm to ward off the harshness of winter, and are still made to a design which has been traced to the far east. Two pieces of spruce are formed together, one making the head, body and tail with the second forming the wings. To this day Goss-Hawks continue to be made by hand in the valley. This graceful bird was also a guarantor of knowledge, and we invite you to let it be your guide and help provide understanding, peace and happiness.
